“Daily Life in War-Torn Northern Uganda” – Nearly 2 million people have been forced to flee their homes and up to 12,000 people have been killed in two decades of Northern UgandaÕs civil war, with many more dying from disease and malnutrition as a direct result of the conflict between the LordÕs Resistance Army rebels and the Ugandan government. The LordÕs Resistance Army is estimated to have kidnapped over 20,000 children for use as soldiers and sex slaves. The constant strain of living in fear has taken its toll on the people of Northern Uganda.
