World of Warcraft’s newest expansion, Cataclysm, will have players saying goodbye to many familiar things: old cities, leaders, aged quest rewards and – new on the list – the current talent trees.
A new post by Zarhym reveals Blizzard’s intentions to drastically overhaul the talent trees of today, in new ways that veterans may not be so pleased with but which the designers hope will help players feel immediately defined by their spec choice.
First on the list: all talent trees will be cut down to 31-point tiers, instead of 51-point tiers. This will cut about ten unique talents from each tree, reducing them to about 20 talents each.
