Ever Eve – Bride Wears Black

O melodie mai putin cunoscuta a unei formatii de care, in Romania, s-a auzit mai putin. Ever Eve, formatie germana ce s-a infiintat in 1991, a lansat doua albume cu unul dintre cei mai tari solisti din lume, in a mea opinie. Dupa care dumnealui s-a cam sinucis si de-atunci s-a cam dus dracu` tot, devenind o formatie tehno-rock. Insa cele doua albume initiale, Seasons si Stormbirds, sunt absolut fantastice.

Ce mi se pare bestial este combinatia intre heavy si doom, treceri surprinzatoare si o voce pe care solistul si-o schimba in vreo 5 moduri, de la tzipat la raget, urlet, grohait sau “normal”.

Seasons este un album conceptual, atmosferic, melodiile curg continuu, legate de intermezzo-uri vorbite in engleza, franceza sau germana. De pe acest prim album provine si melodia The Bride Wears Black. My favourite de pe album este Winternight Depression, care insa nu se gaseste in format video. (Alin, daca o gasesti audio, pune-o tata pe blog, rupe…)

The Day that Never Comes – Metallica

O melodie de pe cel ce va fi, in curand, cel mai recent album Metallica.

In concert in Romania cei patru baieti au facut o treaba…o.k….si cam atat. Profesionisti, intr-adevar, James amuzant, Lars calare pe baterii, dar parca le-a lipsit “acel ceva”. URA, RAUTATEA, NON-CONFORMISMUL pe care il asteptam. Si ascult Metallica din clasa a V-a, camera mea este cea tipica unui adolescent american – postere cu ei, un computer intr-un colt, o chitara rece si o electrica.

Melodia incepe similar cu Fade to Black, apoi, daca aud eu bine are acorduri similare cu Unforgiven si se termina speed, cu un solo interesant…chiar bun.

Vocea lui James, desi mai putin chinuita decat pe St.Anger…tot…neconvingatoare este. Bateria lui Lars suna ciudatel, dar nu total deranjant. Nota 7 spre 8 din partea mea.
